On December 14, the Republican Interdepartmental Commission was formed to "thoroughly and objectively" verify the arguments of Bukhara city prosecutor Jasur Fozilov, who had earlier announced an attempt to fabricate a case against him, UzA said.

The commission included employees of the Presidential Administration, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, authorized to protect the rights and legitimate interests of businesses under the President (Business ombudsman), the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ministry of Justice, the General Prosecutor's Office and the President's Virtual Reception.

"The commission, with the direct participation of Jasur Fozilov, shall organize a deep and objective study of all his arguments and sounded offenses with a visit to the place," the statement says.

Earlier on December 11, the Bukhara prosecutor posted a footage appealing to the President and the head of the Presidential Administration over a case in which Prosecutor General Nigmatilla Yuldashev may be involved. He claimed that a probe had begun against him when he ordered to summon for questioning a representative of Mustahkam Qurilish Development, who allegedly was on good terms with the head of the Prosecutor General's Office. The department reported that the check is being carried out on the basis of a complaint from the businessman, who announced the threat from the prosecutor.

Jasur Fozilov believes that a case is being fabricated against him, and asked to be checked not by the Prosecutor General's Office because of the personal interest of the Prosecutor General, but by a group led by the head of the Presidential Administration Zainilobiddin Nizomiddinov.
