A 413-meter bridge is planned to be built across the Amu Darya river, which will connect the Khorezm province and Karakalpakstan.

This became known on December 13 during the meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the officials of Khorezm province.

“It is planned to build a 413-meter bridge across the Amu Darya, which will connect Khorezm with Karakalpakstan, as well as a 79-kilometer railway from the Shavat district to Karauzyak. In the next three years, 2,370 kilometers of internal highways will be repaired,” the presidential press service said.

In addition, in order to promote domestic tourism, Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave an instruction to improve transport services, in particular, to establish air and rail services with Fergana Valley, to apply a 30 percent discount on tickets in the initial period.

In the future, this experience will be applied in Termez, Samarkand and Bukhara.
