On November 22, photographs of pupils of an Andijan school surfaced on social networks, where they lined up in two rows were greeting local officials with flags in the cold without warm clothing.
In the photo there are adult men and women, wearing jackets and coats were being welcomed by pupils in the cold weather.
The Public Education Ministry commenting the incident reported that the Minister Sherzod Shermatov had previously strictly warned all school principals and heads of local branches of public education about the inadmissibility of such cases.
“It is forbidden to allow this, to welcome someone in this way. The minister has categorically warned about this,” the ministry said.
The Department of Public Education of Andijan province announced the forming of a working group to study the situation.
