Food aid transfer ceremony (3,000 tons of wheat) from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kyrgyz Republic was held in Osh city on Tuesday.

The Uzbek authorities delivered food aid by rail to a station in Osh city and handed over to the plenipotentiary representative of the Kyrgyz government in Osh province, Zharasul Abduraimov, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"In the near future, of modular structures will be delivered to Kyrgyzstan for the construction by Uzbekistan of two infectious diseases hospitals for 400 beds in Bishkek and in Kadamjai district of Batken province," the statement said.

Earlier this month, Uzbekistan sent a humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan in the form of personal protective equipment against coronavirus.
