The chief of the sanitary and epidemiological supervision department of Bukhara province was detained while receiving a bribe.
According to the press service of the provincial police department, the man was arrested by police officers on November 7 at about 09:20 AM in his office while receiving a bribe.
"The head of the department of sanitary and epidemiological supervision demanded a bribe of US$ 400 and 500,000 soums from the head of the Jamila Jahoni Lazzat Omad enterprise for not issuing a fine," the statement said.
On the above fact, a criminal case was opened under taking bribe charge of the Criminal Code.
