The Cabinet of Ministers issued a Resolution approving the Regulation on off-budget inter-sector energy efficiency fund under the Ministry of Energy, Norma said.
The Regulation provides for the objectives of the fund, its rights and obligations, the procedure for the formation and use of funds, as well as the procedure for managing the fund.
The Fund's money shall be used to prepare feasibility studies for energy efficiency projects; financing start-ups; conducting energy audit of entities and implementation of measures to support the development of renewable energy; implementing innovation to improve the fuel and energy efficiency of urban transport, as well as implementing projects for information and simulation modeling of traffic flows to reduce energy costs.
The main goal of the Fund is to attract investments and finance the implementation of energy efficiency projects in the sectors of the economy, the social sphere and in households.
