The mayor of Altynkul district of Andijan province, Nazirjon Urinbayev, died of pneumonia and acute cardiovascular failure on October 7 aged 54.
Nazirzhon Urinbaev, 54, was born in Altynkul district. He is a graduate of the Andijan State Pedagogical Institute (1989). Over the years, he worked in the internal affairs system, in particular, in 2014-2017 he was the head of the crime prevention department of the Andijan province Police Department.
Prior to his appointment as the mayor, he worked as Deputy Chairman of Agroservice MTP. He took over Altynkul district in October 2018.
According to some media reports, a number of mayors of Andijan province are being treated for pneumonia - the mayor of the Shakhrikhan district, Khikmatillo Dadakhonov, the mayor of Khanabad Musakhon Mamadaliev (died on September 29), the mayor of the Pakhtaabad district, Makhsudjon Bozorov, and the mayor of the Altynkul district, Ukirin Naziryev.
On Wednesday, it also became known about the death of the deputy governor of the Namangan province, Bakhromjon Nurmatov. Presumably, he died from complications caused by the coronavirus.
