Presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev held a telephone conversation on Wednesday, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan said in a statement.
The two leaders expressed hope for the earliest possible stabilization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the norms of the constitution and national legislation of this country, the statement said.
Also, the leaders discussed the ways to advance bilateral relations and the issues of overcoming the consequences of the spread of coronavirus.
On the same day, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he congratulated on his birthday, and with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, with whom he discussed the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The press service of the President of Tajikistan said: “The parties stressed the importance of an early resolution through negotiations of the crisis in Kyrgyzstan.”
