Uzbekistan Airways has sent proposals to the Ministry of Transport to review its pricing policy, the company’s First Deputy Chairman Umid Khusanov said, speaking at the Antimonopoly Committee.
“Together with the World Bank experts we are going through the second stage of the company's development. One of the items on the table is the revision of the pricing policy. The 1994 document is outdated. This is a disadvantage for the industry. As part of collaboration with the World Bank, the document has been revisited, in general it is now ready,” Khusanov said.
According to him, the proposals will be considered by the Ministry of Transport in the near future.
“Pricing, among other things, depend on costs. Due to the pandemic, we have fully drafted the structure of expenses and their reduction. We already have concrete measures. I will not elaborate now on the figures, but we have taken all measures to cut costs. I hope that as soon as we fully start work after the pandemic, there will be some tangible results,” the company official concluded.
