On Wednesday, September 23, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed a decree according to which the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be opened in the city of Samarkand, Akorda said.
“I decide: to open a Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Samarkand (Republic of Uzbekistan). The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan should take the necessary measures arising from this decree,” the decree said.
The decree takes effect immediately.
