The Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will be the first high-ranking foreign government official to visit Tajikistan since the pandemic.

The PM Aripov will attend the opening ceremony of a secondary school built and equipped by the Government of Uzbekistan, Asia-Plus reported.

A school for 640 pupils was built in Spitamen district of Sughd province. The agreement for school construction was signed during the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan in March 2018.

The date of the ceremony will be confirmed through diplomatic channels.

In addition to the construction of a school in Spitamen, Uzbekistan is building a 200-bed hospital in Kubodiyon district of Khatlon province.

Tajikistan has announced the construction of a school for 640 pupils in Samarkand. The Tajik authorities announce the building of a preschool in Rishtan district of Fergana province.
