The Uzbekistan team was placed third in the overall standings at the International Army Games, said the Uzbek Minister of Defense, Major General Bakhodir Kurbanov.
“This year Uzbekistan team participated in 16 competitions and won prizes in 14 of them. We took the third place in the overall standings after Russia and Belarus,” the minister said.
Bakhodir Kurbanov noted that the Uzbekistan military servicemen still have to improve in many aspects.
He underscored that the Army Games had provided an opportunity for the military of all countries to enhance their professionalism. He also thanked Russia and the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, who initiated the Games, for the invitation to the competition.
