The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Uzbekistan on August 5 increased by 746 (746 a day earlier) to reach 27,793, the Ministry of Health said.
During the day, 732 patients were discharged from medical facilities, the total number of recovered rose to 18,783, or 67%.
The number of deaths , according to the Ministry of Health, reached 171. During the day, 6 deaths were reported - 3 in Tashkent city and 1 in each of Bukhara, Kashkadarya and Tashkent provinces.
Now 8,839 people are undergoing treatment in medical institutions, 799 of them are in serious condition, 228 are in extremely serious condition.
