The government of the Republic of Korea sent to Uzbekistan the second batch of humanitarian cargo including 206,000 medical masks (KF94), the Korea Republic embassy said.
The aid is aimed at supporting Uzbekistan in overcoming the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the diplomatic mission said.
The masks arrived in Tashkent on July 22 by a Korean Air cargo flight and delivered to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare Agency under the Ministry of Health.
The first batch of 144,000 masks was delivered on July 10.
In late June, it was reported that South Korea would provide Uzbekistan with a US$ 5 million Comprehensive Emergency Relief to fight COVID-19. Since April, the country has also sent several bathces of humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan.
