Additional water intake from the reservoir of Tajikistan will be carried out for irrigation of lands in three provinces of Uzbekistan.
Various pumps and other material and technical resources will be delivered to Tajikistan in order to organize additional water intake from the Bakhri Tojik reservoir.
As per the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 18, 2020, due to the water shortage this year, the resources of the “Bahri Tojik” reservoir will be used for irrigation of agricultural crops on the lands of the Syrdarya basin.
According to the Ministry of Water Resources, 5 pumping units with a capacity of 500 l/s with water rise capacity of 10 m, 20 different pumps of ETsV type, and other material and technical resources will be delivered to Tajikistan.
These material and technical resources will be transferred free of charge to the relevant organizations of the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan.
