Medical facilities in Tashkent are being equipped with ambulances based on Uzavtosanoat’s Volkswagen Caddy, Isuzu D-Max and Chevrolet Damas, the company said in a statement.
Now that there is an urgent need for timely and qualityambulance services, it is important to have modern ambulances equipped with special equipment, the statement added.
The Jizzakh Automobile Plant has reportedly begun sending deliveries of ambulances based on Volkswagen Caddy to medical institutions in Tashkent, which will go to the frontline from next week.
The local company Turin Invest Engineering, consisting of graduates from the Turin Polytechnic University, is engaged in equipping the cars. The company specializes in the implementation of engineering ideas - from design to commissioning. The company has laboratories of mechatronics, metrology and high-tech equipment that have no analogues in the country, the statement noted.
In addition, 27 Isuzu ambulances based on the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck produced by SamAuto since May 2020 have been handed over to the Tashkent’s healthcare system.
As reported earlier, the Tashkent mayor’s office and the Ministry of Health had purchased 40 ventilators and 200 CPAP machines, as well as personal protective equipment. 50 Damas vehicles were purchased for ambulance and sanitary and epidemiological services.
