As of July 1, the resident population of Uzbekistan stands at 34.19 million people, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.
Of the total, 17.3 million people live in cities, and 16.89 million - in rural areas, the report added.
In the end of the first half of 2019, there were 33.52 million people in Uzbekistan, thus the population growth over a year topped 667.1 thousand people. Year-to-date, the population has increased by 285.9 thousand.
