Uzbekneftegaz will set up charging stations for electric vehicles in Tashkent next year, the presidential decree noted.

According to the decree, the government was instructed to stimulate the creation of a EV charging stations service infrastructure in the country, including the charging stations and service centers.

Until September 2020, proposals should be prepared on specific locations for EV infrastructure facilities.

The decree states that Uzbekneftegaz will set up five units of high-speed charging systems (according to IEC 61851-1-Moae 4) by January 2021 in Tashkent.

Earlier the Tashkent mayor’s office said that 500 Chinese BAIC electric vehicles would be purchased for a Tashkent taxi service.
