Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) is considering opening a branch in Uzbekistan. It is planned to exchange students and organize joint training programs with the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.
Negotiations with the rector of BUTEX, Professor Abul Hashem, took place in the form of a video conference on July 7 with the support of the Uzbekistan Embassy in India. The talks were attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan, the Uztekstilsanoat Association, the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.
In particular, the possibilities of opening a BUTEX branch in Uzbekistan were discussed. Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education U. Begimkulov and Deputy Chairman of Uztekstilsanoat Association B. Muhammadsaidov spoke about the current trends in the higher education system in Uzbekistan and cooperation with foreign universities.
Rector of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry B. Onorboev proposed to establish inter-university cooperation with BUTEX, including student exchange and the organization of joint training programs.
Professor Abul Hashem expressed interest in establishing cooperation with Uzbek partners, as well as his willingness to visit Uzbekistan and host an Uzbek delegation at his university to discuss issues raised during the negotiations.
