The president Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a video-conference on the development of services and domestic tourism Tuesday.
During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that over the past two weeks in the following provinces, the coronavirus has been detected among the population:
- Tashkent city (482);
- Tashkent province (79);
- Navoi province (83);
- Kashkadarya province (48).
However, in several cases, the source of infection remained unknown. In particular, such cases are recorded in:
- Tashkent city (57);
- Tashkent province (22);
- Navoi province (25);
- Kashkadarya province (3).
He noted that in the republic 34 districts and cities have been assigned the Red-level, and 24 - Yellow level.
“The moment has come for a significant increase in vigilance and responsibility in the fight against the pandemic. At this stage, we must strictly follow the lockdown rules, no matter how difficult it is. I said earlier that we must get used to life and work in the lockdown. If the situation does not change, then we will have close down many provinces and cities, ”Mirziyoyev said.
The Republican special commission was given instructions to strengthen disinfection and sanitary control in enterprises and markets, in shopping malls and organizations that have resumed activities, and to expand outreach to the population through the media, as well as in companies.
“If necessary, we will dismiss irresponsible leaders, because they are dealing with the safety of people,” he said.
