The Deputy Foreign Minister Sherzod Asadov held talks in a video-conference format with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland, Marija Elina Liivala on Friday.
The parties exchanged views on the state of bilateral ties in the political, trade, economic, investment, judicial and other fields, focusing on the ties within the framework of international organizations and the Uzbekistan-EU dialogue. In particular, the parties welcomed the adoption of the EU Strategy for Central Asia and noted the importance of the early conclusion of an Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement.
The sides reviewed prospects of enhancing cooperation in the field of "green technologies", as well as the implementation of Uzbek-Finnish environmental projects and discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events.
