Lockdown measures introduced by the Special Republican Commission have been extended until June 1, the commission said in a statement. While, from May 18, some domestic air and rail operations will also be resumed.
In particular, Tashkent to Nukus, Urgench, Termez flights have been resumed.
Also from the same date, Afrosiyob high-speed trains will start running from Tashkent to Navoi, Bukhara and Karshi, with train services to Ferghana, Andijan and Namangan provinces also to be resumed, subject to compliance with sanitary restrictions, including limited number of passengers, disinfection and other sanitary requirements, the statement said.
The Special Republican Commission approved the interim procedure for domestic air and rail services.
The relaxing of lockdown measures was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the meeting on May 13, where he notably highlighted that lockdown was not over yet.
