The chief state sanitary inspector Nurmat Otabekov expressed his opinion on when the lockdown could end in Uzbekistan.
“Everyone is thinking about when the lockdown measures will end. International experts say that the summer will hinder the spread of coronavirus and this will facilitate the lifting of lockdown measures,” he said during a regular briefing at Information Agency.
Nurmat Otabekov added that one of the conditions for lifting the lockdown is that 70% of the population having the immunity against the coronavirus and that only tough measures and self-isolation are efficient against the pandemic.
It also became known that a special republican commission is currently working on the issue of relaxing the lockdown removal.
Nurmat Otabekov noted that soon things will get clearer, and the relevant departments will make conclusions.
