Self-isolation regimen introduced on April 1 is to become mandatory from April 6 in Tashkent, Nukus, as well as provincial centers. This decision was adopted at a meeting on April 4 by the Special Republican Commission to Combat Coronavirus.
The regimen implies:
- Everybody must stay at home, except for shopping for basic necessities at local retailer, or for any medical need, for travel to or from work, but only when you cannot work from home;
- If you have to go outside you should stay more than 2m (6ft) apart from anyone other than members of your own household;
- Citizens aged over 65 years and having chronic illnesses are strictly banned from leaving their homes unless absolutely necessary.
Citizens who violate these requirements may be held liable in accordance with the law.
Motorbikes (scooters) and bicycles are also temporarily banned starting from 6:00 on April 6 in Tashkent, Nukus and provincial centers. You can use them only in cases of emergency - for purchase of food, medicines, medical devices, visiting a doctor, as well as for travel to work.
According to the decision, entrances to large markets and shopping centers (supermarkets, hypermarkets and others) will be equipped with pyrometers and antiseptic agents, with staff hired for this purpose.
Each visitor will be required to have his/her body temperature measured. If it is equal to 37oC and above, entry to these facilities is prohibited. These citizens are urgently advised to contact the emergency medical service.
Disinfection works at large markets and in shopping centers, as well as at quarantine events, will be regularly carried out without fail.
