The Ministry of Emergency Situations today sent humanitarian aid to Iran consisting of protective equipment and medicines due to the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19, the ministry said.
According to the government’s resolution, the cargo weighing 6 tons includes sterile medical gloves, protective overalls, medical uniforms, medical masks, gauze and alcohol, hygienic gel and medicines. Special board is accompanied by two doctors of the Ministry of Emergencies. Upon return, they will be quarantined for two weeks.
As previously reported, today the board of the Ministry of Emergencies will pick up 28 citizens of Uzbekistan on the way back from Iran, including 14 drivers who remained on the closed Iranian-Turkmen border, as well as students, businessmen and individuals.
Earlier in mid-February - early March, Uzbekistan sent two batches of humanitarian aid with personal protective equipment to China.
