The Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan and the Investigative Committee of Russia signed a cooperation agreement and a cooperation program for 2020–2021 on Thursday, the Prosecutor General said in a statement.

The documents were signed following the meeting between the Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin in Tashkent.

The implementation of the signed documents will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation through the exchange of information and best practices in the legal sphere, the statement added.

The parties also discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on the ways to advance bilateral cooperation, the statement concluded.
