The Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister/Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee, Aziz Abdukhakimov hosted the head of the Eastern Europe Zone at Airbus Helicopters, Ralf Weber.
The parties discussed the implementation of the deals reached during the I International Aviation Forum Uzbekistan Airports, Aviation & Logistics Forum on February 19-20 in Tashkent.

He confirmed the interest of Airbus Helicopters to further enhance ties with Uzbekistan. According to him, in the international practice, countries have 1 helicopter per 800 thousand-1 million inhabitants, therefore at least 25-30 helicopters are required for Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a comprehensive project, which will include the organization of helicopter trips, training of pilots, mechanics, process engineers and other personnel.
Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter Group) is a Franco-German company. It is the largest in the industry in terms of revenues and turbine helicopter deliveries.
