On March 3, the Minister of Transport, Elyor Ganiev hosted the World Bank’s Director for Europe and Central Asia, Wiebke Schloemer, the ministry said.
The parties reportedly discussed the consultations by the International Finance Corporation on attracting foreign investors for the modernization and management of Uzbek airports.
Elyor Ganiev briefed Wiebke Schloemer on reforms in the civil aviation sector of Uzbekistan in recent years and plans for 2020, with the parties exchanging views on improving the services at airports.
The sides discussed cooperation with the International Finance Corporation in implementation of projects under the public-private partnership terms in Uzbekistan.
