President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev January 30 visited Samarkand on the occassion of the birthday of the late President Islam Karimov.
The head of state visited the resting place of Islam Karimov and laid a wrath.
In Samarkand there are many famous sites, such as Registan, Amir Temur mausoleum, Bibi Khanum Mosque, Shahi Zinda complex, Hazrat Khizr and others. Today, the city is also known as the burial place of the First President of Uzbekistan, the founder of our independence, Islam Karimov.
This is the place, where every day people come to honor the bright memory of a great statesman and political figure, and which has now become a sacred place of worship. Our fellow countrymen from all over the country, foreign statesmen and public figures, foreign tourists pay tribute to Islam Karimov, remember his noble deeds in the name of the bright future of Uzbekistan, the well-being of our people.
Islam Karimov, as a great statesperson with his noble human qualities, left an indelible mark in the history of our country. A bright, outstanding personality, statesman and political figure, he enjoyed great respect and authority not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the world.
Today, such a noble duty is being continued under the leadership of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Birthday of the First President of our country Islam Karimov - 30 January is celebrated in Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan and in all provinces. The events in Samarkand and Tashkent was attended by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
