The Secretary of the U.S. Department of State, Michael Pompeo arrived yesterday in Tashkent. At the airport the high-ranking guest was welcomed by the Uzbekistan Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov, the U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Daniel Rosenblum and other officials.
During the two-day visit, the U.S. Secretary of State will hold bilateral talks with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan to discuss the progress of implementation of the agreements reached during the Uzbekistan- US Summit in Washington in May 2018, and will exchange views on current international and regional issues.
Michael Pompeo and the Foreign ministers of Central Asia will today meet for the next C5+1 format meeting in Tashkent.
He will also be hosted by the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
