The Uzbekistan ambassador to NATO, Dilyor Khakimov, on January 9 in Brussels presented his credentials to the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, the Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of bilateral ties between Uzbekistan and NATO, in particular, in the field of military education, as well as the efforts of the international community to ensure stability and security in Afghanistan.
Jens Stoltenberg commended the development of regional cooperation within the Central Asia and Uzbekistan’s role in resolving the Afghan conflict.
Dilyor Khakimov is the ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and to the European Union.
