President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, speaking at a meeting with youth at the school after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, spoke about the political opposition.
“Opposition related topics are being discussed online. What benefit did it bring? ”he asked.
“As a president, I am not opposed to any opposition, but we need to create an environment for it to emerge, and this opposition is supposed to know the problems of the people, to live through the problems with people, that drank the same water and ate the same bread here,” - said the president.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that he would not allow any opposition formed abroad into the country.
Earlier, the first deputy chairman of the Senate, Sodiq Safoev, said that there could be no sense from an artificially created opposition party.
Moreover, the senator believes that it is important that the institutional process and laws in Uzbekistan do not limit the natural formation of an opposition.
