A branch of the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University (RSPU) will open in Tashkent, the Ministry of Preschool Education said.
The decision to open the branch was taken during a video conference with officials of the Ministry of Preschool Education, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan and the Russian State Pedagogical University.
"University named after A.I. Herzen is one of the major pedagogical universities in Russia with efficient programs and teaching methods. I would like to underscore our positive experience of cooperation: the specialists of the Nukus preschool and Imkon rehabilitation center were trained at Herzen University. We plan to invite teachers and researchers from St. Petersburg to the Tashkent branch,” said Agrippina Shin, Minister of Preschool Education.
During the next meetings, the parties are planning to create a complete list of departments, as well as to begin developing graduate and undergraduate programs.
The Russian State Pedagogical University after A.I. Herzen is the largest pedagogical university in Russia, founded in 1797, which offers over 30 graduate and undergraduate programs specialties.
