The Uzbek-Russian joint venture Andijanpetro, set up by Uzbekneftegaz and Zarubezhneft (Russia), has begun operations.
Official start of operations and the corporate agreement signing ceremony took place in Tashkent on December 5. In the event were present the Uzbekistan Deputy Minister of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and the Director General of Zarubezhneft, Sergey Kudryashov.
Andijanpetro JV was set up on March 16 and conducts production at three oil fields - South Alamyshik, Khartoum and East Khartoum. As part of their development, it is planned to triple oil production, including by updating underground and ground equipment, the Ministry of Energy said.
