On December 3, 2019 in New Delhi, the Uzbek President’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Ergashev held talks with National Security Deputy Adviser to the Indian Prime Minister, Pankaj Saran, the Deputy Foreign Minister, Vijay Thakur Singh and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Deepak Mittal, the Foreign Ministry said.

The parties reportedly discussed the ways to contribute to the peaceful resolution of the Afghan crisis and to restore the socio-economic infrastructure of Afghanistan, as well as the implementation of various sector projects.

Special attention was paid to the training for Afghan citizens at the Afghan Citizens Training Center in Termez, with the Indian officials expressing intention to organize short-term courses in the center on the most demanded specialties in Afghanistan.
