The President signed Volunteering Bill into Law, the Ministry of Justice said. According to the law, volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity where an individual or group provides services for no financial or social gain.
Volunteering can take the following forms:
- volunteer activities;
- volunteering as part of a volunteer team;
- volunteer work through a volunteering organization.
One of the types of volunteering is aiding the poor, the unemployed, families with many children, and others.
Only those individuals who have reached 18 years of age can engage in volunteering.
Volunteering may be performed on the basis of an agreement between a volunteer and the volunteer organizer.
