The State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, in a Cabinet’s draft resolution, proposes to obligate all cement plants to install air sampling and analysis stations.
“Before January 1, 2022 all cement plants in Uzbekistan shall install automatic air sampling and analysis stations, as well as stationary observation points (posts) in the adjacent territory at the their own cost”, - the draft says.
In case of failure to comply with this clause, sanctions will be applied to business entities, all the way to suspension of activity.
It is proposed to add all cement enterprises from January 1, 2020, to the list of companies subject to monitoring sources of air pollution.
