In 2020, over 1 trillion soums, or US$ 108.2 million is planned to be contributed for science from the state budget, which is by US$ 287 billion soums (US$ 30.2 million)more than in 2019. This was stipulated in the draft 2020 Citizens Budget.
Next year, 229.1 billion soums or US$ 24.1 million will be provided the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. Of these, current expenses will amount to 187.4 billion soums, investment - 41.7 billion soums. 37.8 billion soums or US$ 3.9 million will be allocated for the development of research institutes.
