6.2 million people Uzbeks traveled abroad in six months of 2019, by 11.3%, less compared to the last year, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.
The main destination of 5.9 million Uzbeks were the CIS countries, of whom 3.3 million visited relatives, 1.9 million went to work, 60.4 thousand people for tourism.
288.9 thousand of Uzbek citizens went to other foreign countries, of which 178.9 thousand people for tourist purposes, 41.1 thousand people went to work, etc.
Also, the number of foreign nationals visiting Uzbekistan in January-June 2019 reached 3.7 million people, an increase by 35.7%.
