The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Azerbaijan in October to attend the 7th summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS), said the first deputy chairman of the Senate of Sodiq Safoev.
While, this will be Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s first visit to Azerbaijan as the President of Uzbekistan.
The 7th summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States will be held on October 14-15 in Baku and will also feature a business forum.
In addition, the summit’s agenda includes the creation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the joint investment fund of Turkic-speaking countries.
The members of the CCTS are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. This year, Uzbekistan joining the organization. On September 14, Shavkat Mirziyoyev ratified the Nakhichevan agreement on the establishment of a Cooperation Council for Turkic-speaking states (Nakhchivan, October 3, 2009).
