The chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism of the Senate Alisher Kurmanov hosted the delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB) headed by the Vice President Vasil Khudak, the press service of the Senate said.
The sides exchanged views on promising areas of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EIB, in particular, financing of projects in the field of heat supply, solid waste management and the hydropower sector.
Also, as part of the delegation’s visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Uzbek Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the EIB on sustainable environmental development of the Aral Sea region.
