Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives the award of the United Nations Interagency Task Force on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (UNIATF) for his personal commitment in putting healthy lifestyle and action to beat noncommunicable diseases.
On November 8–9, at the 11th meeting, the UNIATF decided to establish a special annual award in recognition of the success of those who contribute to the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases.
In December 2018, Shavkat Mirziyoyev was selected as "Asian of the Year" for the politics category for 2018 by the Asia Journalist Association (AJA).
