The Uzbek Ambassador to Germany Nabijon Kasimov met with the State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure Guido Beermann, the Foreign Ministry said.
The parties reportedly discussed the Uzbek-German cooperation aımed at developing the Uzbek transport infrastructure, as well as the ways to advance cooperation in the field of air, rail and road infratsructure, personnel training.
Given the significant increase in the tourists inflow into uzbekistan, the parties also discussed the opening of additional flights between Uzbekistan and Germany.
The parties noted that as per the agreement between Uzbekistan Airways and Deutsche Bahn AG, German experts will advise Uzbek partners on improving the railway infrastructure and also emphasized the increased interest for cooperating in the modernization of road infrastructure using the best German experience. In this regard, it was agreed to continue bilateral consultations on a regular basis.
