Total of US$ 226.14 million will be contributed for the renewal of the Uzbekistan Railways locomotive fleet in 2019-2021.
The Asian Development Bank has approved the US$ 170 million loan to Uzbekistan for 25 years with a 5-year grace period at a rate of six-month LIBOR plus 0.5% per annum and with a commitment fee of 0.15% of the undeveloped loan amount.
Uzbekistan’s own contribution is at US$ 56.14 million - includes the provision of tax and customs waivers (US$ 45.06 million) and own funds of Uzbekistan Railways ($ 11.08 million).
