Uzbekistan Airways has resumed the normal routes through Pakistani airspace. “From today, all restrictions on transit through the Pakistani and Indian airspaces have been lifted, the company spokesman said.
That means, the flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta through ordinary routes have now resumed. Now saving 2-3 hours on average.
Earlier on February 27 the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority announced the closure of its airspace for commercial flights after the Pakistani army said it had shot down two Indian military aircrafts that violated the country's airspace in the disputed Kashmir region. Since then, the ban on flying in Pakistani airspace has been repeatedly extended.
