The draft Use of Atomic Energy For Peaceful Purposes Bill was discussed by deputies in the second reading at the meeting of the Legislative Chamber, Uzatom said.
This bill was developed by the Ministry of Justice and was passed in the first reading by the lower house of parliament on March 5.
In the second reading, in the course of the article-by-article review of the draft by the deputies, recommendations were given to improve some provisions, provide more clarifications on the rights and obligations, powers of the government bodies.
A separate working group has been formed to introduce direct action norms into the draft bill, and soon the improved bill will be reintroduced for discussion for the second reading.
