President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the eve of the Day of workers of the prosecution service (celebrated for the first time this January 8) on Saturday met with a group of employees of this area, UzA said.
The meeting was attended by representatives of both houses of parliament, government officials, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, workers and veterans of the prosecution service.
"This is the first that we celebrate the irst day of prosecution officers in Uzbekistan. I cordialy congratulate you on this date. I wish to all of you good health, peace and success in your responsible duties, "- said the President.
"Today, we must discuss the urgent tasks that we are facing - the head of state said. - People can endure any hardships, but what they will not tolerate is injustice. Prosecution authorities should play an important role in strengthening the justice in society. "
"The prosecutor officers are charged with a responsible task that requires dedication and objectivity - Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. - Behind every decision there is a man’s fate. It is appropriate to remind the wise words: measure thrice and cut once. Therefore, taking fully reasoned and balanced decisions should be the main criterion for the activity of workers."
The Head of State noted the important role of the prosecutor's office to ensure strict observance of laws, raising the legal culture of citizens, formation of a democratic legal state.
Speaking of supporting the development of entrepreneurship and protection of private property , the President noted that prosecutors should assist and support entrepreneurs. If entrepreneurs are rich, the state will also be rich. It is necessary to create favorable conditions for doing business, he added.
In end-September the virtual reception of the Prime Minister (later transformed into President’s virtual reception) received 311,000 letters from citizens. Among them, a lot of complaints concerning the activities of the prosecution services.
"These facts are regrettable, - said the President. - Why there is an increasing number of problems in people's lives? Most letters are the consequences of irresponsible actins of executives, including the prosecution officers."
"In the year of dialogue with people and human interests there are very important tasks in front of the prosecutor's officers. Not a single letter should be ignored ", - Shavkat Mirziyoyev concluded.
