The Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments and Tourism Uzbekistan Senators Alisher Kurmanov hosted with Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Chaichits, the Senate said.
The parties discussed the ways to further strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus, and preparations for the interprovincial forum of the two countries in Minsk in 2019 and noted that bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres were being built on the principles of friendship, trust and mutual benefit.
It was noted that the bilateral forums contribute to the enhanced contacts and facilitate cooperation, in particular between legislative, executive branches, and businesses.
The two sides expressed their readiness to continue their efforts to strengthen bilateral ties, including inter-parliamentary dialogue.
