Bakhtiyor Anarkulov has been dismissed from the post of acting deputy chairman of Uztransgaz in charge of finance affairs, a source in the told the Tashkent Times.

The source added that the sacking came due to huge debt to Lukoil, surpassing US$ 600 million.

Azat Shamsuarov, Lukoil’s senior vice president for production, had told that the debt was due to the part of the produced gas being marketed locally, while under the terms of the PSA all produced gas shall have been exported.

Uztransgaz is the government-owned company responsible for supplying natural gas to end users in Uzbekistan, as well as transportation, transit and exports.
