The Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today hosted a delegation of the European Union, including the Special Representative for Central Asia, Peter Burian, and the Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Roland Kobia.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of multi-faceted ties between Uzbekistan and the European Union, including cooperation in the implementation of socio-economic projects in Afghanistan and the Aral Sea problem.
Mutual interest was highlighted in stepping up contacts at various levels. In this context, the parties exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming joint events in 2019.
The parties also addressed topical international and regional problems.
In the meeting was also present the Head of the EU Delegation in uzbekistan, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais.
